ABOUT ANNA MOORE & THE CHAMPIONS

The ANNA MOORE & THE CHAMPIONS line of toys was produced in 1975 & 1976 by Pedigree Toys, LTD of Exeter, England.  A close cousin to Pedigree's amazingly popular SINDY teenage fashion doll, Anna was a bit smaller, and totally devoted to equestrian pursuits.

Modeled after the real British Olympic show jumping champion, ANN MOORE, little Anna and her friend Peter introduced children to a realistic, magical world in which they could participate in the wonderful world of horses and riding through imaginative play.  Anna and Peter were multi-jointed to allow for almost infinite riding positions, as were their horses, bay Happytime and palomino Sundancer.  Outfits, tack and accessories were realistic down to the finest detail.

Olympic champion ANN MOORE actually wrote several of the brochures that were included with Champions items.  These brochures offered practical tips on riding and horsemanship, and added a special element of realism to this special world.
